Faximum ELS & PLUS 4 made a number of changes to the information stored in the accounting log file (by default, /var/spool/faximum/acct).

Old format (appears in the log as a single line):

Explanations

The following fields were added:

• email addr (the email address of the originator of the request)
• destination person &
• destination company (the name and company information, if any, from the cover sheet)
• handle (the string provided with the fax request as the handle, an arbitrary identification string provided by the submitter)
• extended error code (documented in TN 224)

The other change is that the field that previously contained the three sub-fields of accounting information are now enclosed in quotation marks (see above).

If these change cause incompatibilities with your software you can obtain a fix from Faximum Technical Support that enables one to enable and disable the new acct log format.
