Adding a scanned image as a regular TIFF file

If you don't have a scanner attached to your system you can still add scanned images to your attachments list. In fact, when faxing scanned images you may be able to get better results by scanning the image yourself. This allows you to adjust the size, contrast and brightness, and select an image type that best suits the image.

Scan the image on any computer, save it as a TIFF-F file, and copy the file to the system running the client. Then add the file to the attachments list.

When Faximum adds the file to the attachment list it converts the image to a single plane black and white Class F compressed TIFF file. Color and grey scale images are dithered to achieve a grey scale effect.
