Capturing a Text Window
The Text Window option is useful when capturing
windows containing only text.
The resulting snapshot contains only black or white.
Use this option together with the Black/White Threshold value:
- All pixels whose color intensity is less than the Black/White
Threshold value are written as black in the snapshot.
- All pixels whose color intensity is greater than the Black/White
Threshold are written as white in the snapshot.
The default Black/White Threshold value is 190. This is based on
color intensity values from 0 to 255.
After you capture the window, use the Fax - View window to view the result:
- If the image is all white, raise the threshold value and
capture the screen again.
- If the image is all black, lower the threshold and capture again.
As an alternative to this method, use
the Image Window feature to
capture the window with various shades of gray.
