Check the Print Scheduler

Use the following command to check whether the print scheduler process (lpsched) is running on a system:

lpstat -r If the scheduler is running, the message the scheduler is running is displayed. If the scheduler is not running, login as root (superuser) and start it up as follows: /usr/lib/lpsched

Check the printer status again as follows:

lpstat -oprinter_name

If the file is not printing, disable and enable the printer and then check the status again.

If lpstat still does not show up in the printer status on the client system, disable and enable the printer on the print server system.
