ping command to make sure that the network is
available, and that the client system can reach the server system.
For example, the following command attempts to send two 64-byte
packets to a system named fractal:
/etc/ping fractal 64 2
If you cannot contact the server you may have a network problem. Contact an HP-UX system administrator.
